I had never heard of Carol Dweck or the growth mindset before watching the ted talk. I can relate to the growth mindset in terms of film making. Past films I have made are hard to look on because of the scrutiny and advice I've received from teachers in my time learning at the University of Oklahoma. If I look at old films and current film I am making as a step towards greatness instead of a step towards failure I am more likely to create more films with the idea of growth in mind rather than skill. I may be more interested in learning more if there are aspects of growth mindset that can help me learn better.
